Parks and Recreation Department Staff

 Ray DeFalco - Parks and Recreation Director (401) 423-7266

Ray had been the Parks and Recreation Director since May of 2021. Ray oversees all the parks and recreation operations in town. Ray is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelors of Arts in psychology. Ray previously worked for the Narragansett Parks and Recreation Department (2002 - 2015) and the former deputy director for the Charlestown Parks and Recreation Department (2015 - 2021). 

Lealah O'Neill - Recreation / Facilities Supervisor (401) 423-7211

Lealah is a lifelong Jamestown resident who after discovering her love for recreation programming in 2016 began to hone her skills working at the front desk of the recreation department, acting as camp director, and assisting with all areas of the department. Her responsibilities include managing the Mackerel Cove beach, Fort Getty Park and Pavilion rentals. 

Cody Clarkin - Program Coordinator (401) 423-7261

 Cody graduated summa cum laude from URI in Biology in 2020. Cody comes from a robust recreation background working in various capacities for the Charlestown Parks and Recreation Department Cody also was a substitute teacher for the Warwick school system, serves as vice president for the Charlestown Town Council, and has been recognized nationally for his volunteer work. Cody's responsibilities for the Jamestown Recreation Department  include all recreation programming, summer camp, and the Teen Center. 

  Ron Parfitt- Maintenance Supervisor

Ron Parfitt is the Parks & Recreation maintenance supervisor and has worked for the Town for over 20 years. His responsibilities include overseeing all maintenance functions and supervising the summer maintenance staff.
