Sergeant Jason Hopkins

Sergeant Hopkins has been a member of the Department since August of 2004 and is a graduate of the Rhode Island Municipal Police Academy.  He was promoted to rank of sergeant in 2010 and currently serves as the 11pm - 7am shift supervisor.

 Sergeant Hopkins serves as the Department's alarm manager. He is also assigned as the Department's Terminal Agency Coordinator responsible for oversight of access to the FBI NCIC database. He is also trained as a Physical Agility Specialist and Crisis Negotiator. He is certified in Law Enforcement Dive Search and Rescue. Sergeant Hopkins is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
