Tax Assessor, Ken Gray, received The Sherry Vermilya Award, given by the Northeastern Regional Association of Assessing Officers at their recent meeting. The award was given "In Recognition of Outstanding Service to the Assessment Profession". Mr. Gray has served as Treasurer of the Rhode Island Association of Assessing Officers since 2008.
In July of 2015, Vision Government Solutions, the town’s revaluation contractor, began inspecting Jamestown properties as part of a three year, state mandated Statistical Revaluation program.

Until further notice the Tax Assessment office will be open Monday thru Thursday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The office will be closed on Fridays.
