Sergeant Joel Pinocci

Sergeant Pinocci has been a member of the Department since March of 1998 and is a graduate of the Rhode Island Municipal Police Academy. He was promoted to rank of sergeant in 2007 and currently serves as the split shift supervisor (2 days 11pm - 7am & 2 days 3pm - 11pm).

Sergeant Pinocci serves as the Departments Field Training Officer Program Coordinator and Training Coordinator. He serves as a TASER instructor and Physical Agility Specialist. He has received specialized training in Instructor Development, homicide investigations and pre-employment background investigations. Sergeant Pinocci is a graduate of Rhode Island College with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
