Town accepting Summer Vending Bids

The Town of Jamestown is soliciting proposals from qualified, licensed food and beverage vendors in the State of Rhode Island to provide any combination of food and nonalcoholic beverage services including frozen lemonade and ice cream products at (3) three locations; Mackerel Cove Beach for a one year period during the beach season extending from May 15 – October 15, Fort Getty Campground for a one year period during the camping season extending from May 18 – September 17, and East Ferry Park for a one year period during the summer extending from May 27 – September 17.   


Vendors are invited to submit individual proposals for each location to provide completely mobile vending at the specified locations. No facilities will be provided to the vendor except a suitable and prominent site provided to do business.  One parking space will be provided to the vendor on a daily basis.


Sealed proposals must be submitted to the Finance Office, 93 Narragansett Ave., Jamestown, RI 02835. No later than Monday, February 27, 2017 at 3:00 PM at which time they will be publicly opened. All proposals should be clearly marked in the lower left hand corner, “Vending Mackerel Cove Beach”, “Vending Fort Getty”, or “Vending East Ferry”

The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to accept the proposals which it deems, in their sole judgment, to be in the best interest of the Town. Evaluation shall be based on ability to perform to specifications, revenue provided back to the Town, business reputation, historical record with the Town and other criteria as may be determined.
